Big Sky

Big Sky

The Ask: Many people ski only a couple of days each year, if they're lucky. How can we bring the skiing experience to them, no matter where they are?

Background: This unique quality of Big Sky resort is a result of the rich history that characterizes the region. Visitors will find innumerable stories that provide insight into the past and present of this location. These stories are not limited to the snow-covered slopes, but extend throughout the resort area, lending depth and meaning to every aspect of the destination.

The Idea: The culture of skiing is one that is held in high regard by its enthusiasts. Ski resorts, in particular, possess a level of significance that is unparalleled by most other brands. With a rich history, iconic characters, and dynamic storylines, these brands have become synonymous with the skiing experience. My role was to bring these stories to life, to give them a voice, and to make them accessible to a wider audience. Through my efforts, I aimed to capture the essence of this culture.

Role:Director, DP, Art Director

Over the course of two years, we held the Big Sky contract and experienced two exceptional seasons. This opportunity granted me the chance to broaden my knowledge, hone my craft, and engage in physical activity by skiing extensively. The entire experience was both humbling and remarkable. I not only met John Kircher but also interviewed him about his career. Few people have had such a profound impact on the ski industry as this man.
